Alessandro Ischia has been working in the natural gas industry in Austria, Italy and Russia for over 20 years. He has extensive experience in different roles, with growing responsibilities in Pipeline Constructions, Operations and Maintenance, Business Development with ENI S.p.A. and Regulatory Affairs with the Austrian Regulatory Authority E-Control.
He graduated in Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Energy and Hydrocarbons from the Politecnico di Milano in 2000, and he attended RWTH Aachen for two years, where he also studied nuclear reactor technology.
He obtained an MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 2011.
In 2013, he completed a year-long training in Regulation of the Energy Utilities at the Florence School of Regulation.
He received a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics for Competition Law in 2018 and in 2020 a Master of Arts in Public Procurement from the King´s College, London. Moved by his passion for geopolitics, he completed a specialized training in geopolitics and governance with the prestigious Italian Scuola di Limes in 2021.
